BILLING/CREDIT CARDS

Q. I am having a problem getting my Credit Card authorized, but I know it is a valid card.  Why may this be happening?

A.  Many times, a user signs up for service using their business information as contact information, and their personal credit card, or visa versa.  Please ensure the contact information you provide is the same as the billing address on record for the credit card you enter.  Our credit service will not authorize your card successfully otherwise.  If you continue to have issues, please notify us at support@leader.com .

Q. I have a question about my bill.  What do I do?

A.  You can email us at support@leader.com and a representative will contact you by the next business day.  Or, you can call us at (888) 463-0612.

Q. When will I receive my bill?

A.  Your credit card will be charged for the first call you make and then on the 10th, 20th, and last day of each month.  When you see the charges appear will depend on your credit card cycle dates. You may also be charged if your usage during the 10 day billing period, (between our normal billing days), exceeds $50. That usage will be billed at the completion of the call. If your call exceeds $250, you will be billed multiple times. Once for $250 and then a second time for the remainder of the amount. This is due to the credit card processing procedures.

Q. Can I receive a bill instead of having my credit card billed?

A.  You can request to be invoiced by contacting us at corporatesales@leader.com.

BROWSER SETTINGS

Q. Do you recommend any special browser settings?

A.  Yes.  There is a quirk in Internet Explorer. We recommend checking a setting in your I.E. configuration. It is in the menu under Tools | Internet Options. Click the Advanced tab. Make sure the box "Show friendly HTTP error messages." is NOT checked. If it is checked, uncheck it. This will help avoid some odd "page can not be displayed" errors.

Q. Do you validate my browser settings?

A.  Yes.  We do so to set up a secure connection using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection and to make sure we send your browser the right information (each browser is a little different due to differences between browsers like Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer, and even among engineering versions of each).

Q. Do I have to change my browser settings before I use the service?

A.  No.  We validate your browser settings automatically as you come on to our site.  If there are any adjustments necessary, we do all of the work on our side for you.  There is no need for you to do anything.

USE WITH PALMŪ HANDHELD

Q. How do I access LeaderPhone® with my PalmŪ Handheld?

A. First, download the LeaderPhone® Palm application file from this site. To do this, just click the "Services & Features" tab at the top of this page, and then click the link entitled "Learn More About Our Services & Features." Once you're there, scroll down until you find the heading entitled "Wireless palm device enabled." Click here to DOWNLOAD the Palm VII software.

Once you've downloaded the LeaderPhone.pqa file to your pc, move the file to the Palm\Add-on folder on your pc (usually located at C:\Palm\Add-on). Bring up your PalmŪ desktop software and click the install button. Press the "Add" button and select the LeaderPhone.pqa file if it is not already selected. Once the LeaderPhone.pqa file is selected, press the "Done" button. Place your PalmŪ in its cradle and press the HotSync button. This loads the selected pqa files onto your PalmŪ. Locate the LeaderPhone® logo on your PalmŪ and tap it. You will see a login prompt where you will be directed to enter your Userid and Password. Log in, and you're ready to use LeaderPhone®.

Note: Once you have completed a HotSync to load the LeaderPhone.pqa onto one PalmŪ Handheld, you may "Beam" the pqa file to another PalmŪ and avoid having to repeat the download and HotSync described above for other PalmŪ Handhelds. On the PalmŪ that contains the LeaderPhone.pqa file, tap the menu button (found in the lower left hand corner of the screen) and select "Beam." Select "LeaderPhone" from the menu of available applications, and then tap the "Beam" button. Be sure that the source and destination PalmŪ Handhelds have their IR ports (found at the top of the palm) facing each other; this is how the pqa file is transmitted from one PalmŪ to the other. The receiving or destination PalmŪ will show a dialog box asking whether to accept or decline the pqa file. Tap "Accept," and in a few moments the PalmŪ will announce that the file has been loaded.

CALL SETUP

CONTACT LISTS

Q. Do I have to re-enter my Contact List into the system?

A.  We have a feature that allows you to upload your contact list from Outlook or Outlook Express.  The instructions are in our online users manual, which is accessible once you are logged into your account.

DIAL IN/PINS

Q. What does it mean to Dial In to the system?

A.  The system is designed to call out to everyone on the call.  It also supports people dialing in and joining the conference.  At the time the conference call is set up, everyone will be assigned a PIN.  This PIN should be provided to all participants on a call in case they want to be able to dial in.  They will also be provided with a toll free number to dial.  When they call the toll free number, they will be prompted to enter their PIN.  When their PIN is entered they will be placed into the appropriate conference call.

Q. Why do I get different PINs everytime I setup a conference call?

A.  This ensures security for your conference calls, keeping unauthorized users from dialing into your meeting.  The system uses the PIN to identify the person and the call.  So, we issue unique PINs per user, per conference.

Q. What is a Universal Access PIN?

A.  We do offer Universal Access PINs for your convenience.  You may select the option to use a Universal Access PIN for your conference calls.  This allows only 1 PIN to be used for ALL of your participants to use during a dial-in conference.  These PINs are commonly used for less secure calls, where you may want to broadcast a call to the media, like a press release.  Or, for when you may not know how many participants may be attending an announcement, or report call of some kind, like an earnings release.

DIALING PHONE EXTENSIONS

Q. Can the system call extensions or hotel rooms?

A.  Yes, but only when using the *1 feature. When using the *1 feature, if you encounter a situation that requires you to enter numbers or codes for the called party, simply press *5 on your handset FIRST. This will place you in a temporary one-on-one call with the number you are dialing. After entering the extension, or other information, you can press *5 again to return to the regular conference call or *3 to drop number called. For more help or information with advanced calling features such as *1, and *5, feel free to contact us at support@leader.com with your questions.

As an alternative, ensure your participants are provided with the conference dial-in information as an access option to your meeting.  The LeaderPhone® email notification service does this for you automatically.

DIALING TO TOLL FREE NUMBERS

Q. Why doesn't the system call Toll Free numbers?

A.  The system blocks Toll Free numbers from being dialed-out.  If you have a situation where you only have a Toll Free number as a contact for a participant you can bring them into the call using the *5 sidebar procedure described above (see Can the system call extensions or hotel rooms?), or you can set them up as a dial in participant and have them call Toll Free to your conference and provide them with their own PIN.
